Republic of Organization Bei Telemptzoonie LiedungenverkehrsseiteLAS VEGAS –Two new prescriptions are going on at the pharmacy, but the FDA is looking at new drugs and getting an FDA review.
“These drugs are very effective,” said Dr. Steven Redman, a physician with the Los Angeles County Health Department. “They are the first-ever FDA-approved drug for men with an enlarged prostate. They are very popular.”
In a new study, Dr. Redman, a professor of urology, found that men with enlarged prostates who took Propecia had a five percent lower risk of developing bladder cancer.
“It’s an important step in terms of preventing prostate cancer,” said Dr. Redman, who is also a urologist. “And we’re seeing that it’s an important treatment option for men with enlarged prostates.”
The study included men in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, who were age 60 or older.
In their results, Dr. Redman said they looked at 1,400 men who were taking the popular anti-estrogen drug Letrazol, which blocks the production of testosterone. In addition, they looked at 1,250 men who were taking an anti-epilepsy drug (Pantos, or Epilepsy), which blocks the production of certain neurotransmitters in the brain.
The results showed that the drug was associated with an increased risk of bladder cancer, with about a five percent increased risk of bladder cancer in men taking it.
The study was led by Dr. Redman, who is also the lead author of the study.
“I am proud of the research done by Dr. Redman and his team,” he said.
It was interesting to see that the drugs were associated with a slight increase in the risk of bladder cancer, which is the most serious kind of cancer in men.
The study, conducted by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine, is part of the ongoing, which is being led by Dr. John E. Ochsner.

“We were able to see that it was safe,” he said. “And it’s been shown that there is an increased risk of bladder cancer, especially in older men.”
While the drug is approved by the FDA, it is not available for use in the United States. So the FDA is looking at another drug, Propecia, as well.
Redman said he was pleased with the results of the study. “I am pleased with the results,” he said.
He said that the study had some important results, and the FDA’s review process is working.
“If you look at the study, we’re at a point where we’re going to take all of these drugs and do an evaluation of the potential benefits and risks,” he said.
The study looked at 1,250 men taking Propecia, a medication used to treat male pattern baldness. In the study, men took 1,000 pills of the drug.
The men took Propecia at the same time each day for a total of six weeks.
The men were followed for three months and then sent home to a treatment center for a prostate cancer diagnosis. In the first year of treatment, the men got the drugs again, and the results were significant.
The study is in part a result of the, which led the FDA.
“What we found is that these drugs can increase the risk of prostate cancer by about five to seven percent,” said Dr. Redman.
“These drugs are pretty effective, but they are also the best way to treat prostate cancer in men,” Dr. Redman said.
The drugs used in the study were Propecia, a drug used to treat male pattern baldness, and Avanafil, which relaxes blood vessels and increases blood flow to the prostate.
“The effect is not only for the blood vessels, but the prostate,” he said.
